A Theory: Did 1Z Do a Digital Cleanup of XONARA? 🤔✨
Plausible?
Okay. Hear me out. ☕️👀 Recently, Casual Chuck — known for putting together some of the most detailed SB19 documentaries online — tried to create his first XONARA documentary. And when I say tried, I mean there wasn’t much to work with.
Most of the footage floating around is old-school content. Very little performance footage. Very little singing footage. And almost nothing about Megumi.
Which immediately made me go: 👁️👄👁️
Because some of these girls reportedly trained, performed, and pursued entertainment long before auditioning for 1Z in 2024. So naturally, my overcaffeinated brain opened 17 tabs and asked:
Where is all that content? 🕵️♂️🔎

Now, before anyone grabs a pitchfork, this is purely speculation. But what if 1Z actually did some form of digital cleanup? Not because they’re hiding something, but because they’re building something.
Digital cleanups aren’t new in entertainment. Companies have managed artists’ online footprints for years. But in the Philippine industry, artists often come in with existing audiences, social media numbers, and built-in clout. Having a large digital footprint is usually seen as an advantage.
What if 1Z is intentionally doing the opposite? 🤔 What if they’re choosing not to market the girls through their past? What if they’re choosing to market them through their future? ✨ Instead of introducing XONARA through years of archived content, fans are discovering the members in real time.
The story starts now. Not three years ago. Not five years ago. Now.
And maybe that’s why everyone seems so invested. Because ironically… the lack of information became information.
The absence of pre-debut content became part of the mystery. Every week, fans are digging, theorizing, connecting dots, making spreadsheets, opening new tabs, opening more tabs after that, and accidentally earning honorary detective badges. 📋🧵🤡
And judging by the amount of discussion happening? If that was the strategy… it’s working.
😭 Because what do you mean I’ve never been this invested in a girl group before, yet here I am consuming every crumb of content, refreshing timelines, and getting excited over information that may or may not even exist yet? ☕️💀✨
But here’s the part that really got me thinking…
If this theory is even remotely true, what happens to the trainee stories? Do we never get the traditional audition documentary? The training footage? ? The “this was us before XONARA” episodes?
Or maybe 1Z is simply saving those stories for the right moment. 👀 Maybe the mystery is temporary. Maybe the payoff comes later. And if that’s the case, I am absolutely seated. 🍿😭
What do you think? Coincidence? Cleanup? Deliberate storytelling? And more importantly… do you think we’ll ever get the full pre-debut story of XONARA we’re all craving for?
