Gardaí seeking to assist 9-year-old who lost wallet in Kildare supermarket

Gardaí based in County Kildare are seeking to assist 9-year-old who lost his wallet in a supermarket.

Commenting on the incident, a garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí received a report of an incident of theft that occurred at approximately 7:30pm on February 13, 2025 in Maynooth, County Kildare.”

They added that investigations by gardaí are ongoing at this time.

The incident was discussed in further detail by a garda who appeared on KFM this morning (February 19).

The garda explained that a 9-year-old child left their wallet in the shop, and that the wallet has the letters ‘QM’ displayed on it.

When they went back to find it, they discovered it missing.

According to the garda, the wallet ‘has sentimental value’ to the child and it also had money contained within it.

The garda concluded by saying that anyone with information about the child’s wallet can contact Leixlip Garda Station on 01-666-7800 or Maynooth Garda Station on 01-629-2380.
