Today, Klara is live on Polkassembly as your AI-powered governance assistant for the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystem. Klara helps anyone, from community members to core contributors, query on-chain data, explore proposals, and understand how governance actually works all through natural language.

But Klara is more than a chatbot. It’s the beginning of an AI layer for Polkadot, a vision of intelligent, modular agents that make the network more accessible, transparent, and adaptive.

What Klara Can Do Today

Klara is already integrated with Polkassembly and fully operational across Polkadot and Kusama. It helps users:

• Query governance data Fetch proposals, referenda, bounties, and treasury items by ID, type, or status. Example: “Show all active treasury proposals on Polkadot this month.”
• Analyze voting patterns Explore voter history, conviction power, delegation flows, and participation trends. Example: “Who had the highest voting power in referendum 300?”
• Track treasury and bounties Surface payout data, beneficiaries, and proposal lifecycles — instantly. Example: “List all treasury proposals above 100,000 DOT.”
• Understand governance concepts Klara is also trained on the Polkassembly Documentation, so users can ask: “How does conviction voting work in OpenGov?” or “How do I create a bounty proposal?”
• Switch between Polkadot and Kusama networks seamlessly, analyze activity by date or track, and follow contextual threads in conversation.

Klara combines on-chain data, off-chain documentation, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) for accurate, context-aware responses.

The Eagle’s Eye Vision: An AI Layer for Polkadot

Klara is just the beginning. What we are building is a plug-and-play AI layer for Polkadot one that any parachain, product, or project can connect to.

Imagine:

• A parachain that plugs its treasury or proposal data into Klara’s engine and instantly gains a customized governance assistant.
• A developer dashboard that uses Klara’s models to interpret runtime data or generate SDK snippets automatically.
• A community app that can chat with its own chain’s state, proposals, or analytics without building the intelligence layer from scratch.

We call this the Eagle’s Eye vision an architecture where Klara evolves into a multi-agent intelligence layer, offering AI-as-infrastructure across the Polkadot network.

Each chain, dapp, or ecosystem project will be able to:

• Connect its data sources through standardized adapters.
• Leverage shared AI inference and retrieval capabilities.
• Deploy custom agents for analytics, support, or governance, powered by Klara’s foundation.

The Infrastructure Work Behind Klara

To realize this vision, we’re investing in AI infrastructure for the Polkadot ecosystem:

• RAG pipelines optimized for governance and runtime data.
• Indexing layers to make chain data efficiently queryable by language models. SDK and MCP integrations so developers can access AI tools directly in their workflow.
• Monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure factual accuracy and governance transparency.

This infrastructure work is designed to scale from individual governance conversations to network-level intelligence.

What’s Next

Over the coming months, we’ll expand Klara with:

• Support for more data sources (Council, Fellowship, Treasury insights).
• Custom chain connectors for parachains to deploy their own Klara agent.
• Advanced analytics for trends, sentiment, and voting influence.
• A developer SDK for easy integration into existing UIs or bots.

We’ll also continue to collaborate with Parity, Web3 Foundation, and other ecosystem teams working on AI and infrastructure to ensure Klara becomes a core, shared capability for the Polkadot network.
