Understanding the Role of an Innovation Ambassador

“Leadership in innovation begins with awareness and action.”

On 27th January 2025, I had the privilege of interacting with my juniors at Knowledge Institute of Technology (KIOT) as part of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) initiatives. The session was centered on a theme very close to my heart — the role of an Innovation Ambassador (IA).

As an IA, one is not just a participant in innovation activities but also a bridge between students, faculty, and opportunities in the innovation ecosystem. During the session, I shared insights on how every student, regardless of their background, can actively contribute to innovation. Whether it’s by sharing ideas, collaborating with peers, participating in hackathons, or exploring incubation and start-up initiatives, each step helps in nurturing a culture of innovation on campus.

What truly inspired me was the curiosity and enthusiasm of my juniors. Their eagerness to step into the innovation ecosystem assures me that the future is in capable hands.

Being an Innovation Ambassador is not about titles — it is about leadership, responsibility, and action. And I believe every student has the potential to take part in shaping this journey.
