CHRIST IS FOUND WITHIN... (Luke 17:21)

Happy Easter to all! I was raised Greek Orthodox and today we celebrate Easter, The Resurrection of Christ. Christ was tempted by his evil-brother Satan, went through the Underworld and has defeated His Lower Consciousness (The Darkness) and is Reborn to His Higher Consciousness (The Light). He died for our Sins, right? Well, he actually killed (put an end to) and defeated his own Animal Nature (Sinful Nature) (this is evident when reading the scripture of Christ when He was on The High Mountain where Satan tempted Him, -He defeated Satan, right? Of course, He did! This scripture is showing us how we may also defeat our lower, Animal Nature and become more of a Virtuous person) and since He could do it, He shows us that we also can do the same. Christ is an example of we could do with The Darkness we all hide within us.

We move from The Darkness to The Light with the help of Christ, who is found within. This concept is found in many scriptures in The Bible.

We overcome Sin with the help of the Christ within. This is called Renewal, or Awakening or Ανάσταση. This is when we move from our Lower self to our Higher Self. Our Lower Sinful Nature to our Higher Human Nature. From Worldly Consciousness to Christ Consciousness. All with the help of the Christ found within.

Bringing Divinity to The Darkness can be done with the help of The Christ within. It’s a personal transformation done through proper prayer, meditation, contemplation, repentance and inner reflection.

For me Easter is not a yearly ritual. Easter is an on-going process.

Why fast on Friday and Wednesday or whenever the Church deems or says it’s okay for me to do so? The church says don’t eat meat this day, eating fish is okay on this day, but I am a vegetarian. So, the church is saying if I eat meat on a Friday, its a sin? Then I need to come to confession and repent. Then if I do again, I must complete the whole process all over again? How does the church have the time to do this dance with every single one of its congregation? Its really, totally ridiculous. It’s much easier, less time consuming and more practical if I take the church out of my life and put my salvation into my own hands, right? (With help from the Christ within, of course.)

Prayer is communicating with The Divine with our thoughts.

I pray, meditate and fast every day of my life. My prayer life is rich and abundant. If I need to go to confession, I do an inventory every night and occasionally use my sponsor (mentor or close friend) for another moral inventory (confession). For me, in my current situation there is absolutely no need for a church in my life.

In the Bible it says many times our body is our temple.

(My body is my Temple. I call it: Temple JohnJohn)

What? Am I going to wait for a priest to tell me how to reach my own salvation? The Christ found within is my guide.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy upon me, a sinner.

Amen.

This is just one of my morning and evening prayers.

When we bring Christ directly into our life on a daily basis, our life truly becomes more at ease because we invite the Christ within to properly guide us in all our endeavors.

May this Easter Bring us all closer to the Christ found within.

It is important to repeat the summary of these versus concerning finding the Christ Within:

‘These verses indicate that when One is reborn or born again, there is a change within and around them, emphasizing the presence of Christ within believers.

These verses and concepts encourage believers to find their identity in the Christ found within and to understand that their worth and significance come from their relationship with Him rather than worldly standards.’

Easter therefore is simply a re-awakening of One’s Soul.

Moving from The Darkness to The Light (From Sin towards Virtue).

The Bible desires us to seek The Light in order to overcome The Darkness within us.

This is what Christ is about. That’s what Easter is about, showing Love and Light and overcoming our own Darkness that we have within us through the help of the Christ we find within, of course.
