- Margin Accounts: Allows users to access cross-collateralized leverage for various activities like trading, lending, and yield farming, streamlining capital use.
- Smart Accounts: Enables a keyless and walletless user experience by allowing private keys to be generated and stored in the cloud, accessible from any device via biometrics. This simplifies onboarding and enhances security.
- Customizable Gas Fees: The “Taxman” smart contract allows for programmable gas fee mechanisms, enabling developers to implement custom fee logic, offer discounts, or burn tokens without the need for a hard fork.
- Cronjobs: Provides on-chain automated task schedulers, reducing the reliance on external, centralized services for triggering predefined operations.
- Tendermint Consensus: Dango Chain uses Tendermint’s Byzantine Fault Tolerant (BFT) consensus protocol. This ensures fast, secure, and scalable block finality, with the ability to function even if up to one-third of its validator nodes are malicious. Recent Updates and Ecosystem Details
- Testnet 2: Launched on July 28, 2025, Testnet 2 introduced a fully on-chain Central Limit Order Book (CLOB) with support for market and limit orders. The project aims to achieve a daily trading volume of $1 million. This follows the success of Testnet 1, which attracted over 180,000 users and processed more than 1.75 million transactions.
- Tokenomics: Dango’s native token is DNG. A unique aspect of its tokenomics is the use of a USDC fee model, where transaction fees are paid in USDC, which are then used to buy and burn DNG tokens. This creates deflationary pressure on the DNG supply.
- Airdrop: Dango is conducting an airdrop through the Galxe’s Starboard pool, which it joined on May 28, 2025. The airdrop, planned for distribution in Q3 2025, will reward participants with DNG tokens, NFTs, and loyalty points.
- Validator Structure: The network operates with approximately 20 proof-of-authority validators. These validators are selected and managed by the Left Curve Foundation based on criteria like cost and reputation. Unlike traditional PoS models, Dango’s validators have no say in governance, cannot accept token delegations, and do not earn revenue from on-chain activity. This centralized validator selection appears to be a trade-off for CEX-level performance.
