Yet another dark pattern discovered on Facebook? Reporting?

What do you think happened here? We clicked to report a post, basically an ad, that was questionable, obviously clickbait, and obviously a scam. So we clicked “Report” . . .

Just look at the options Facebook gives us to chose from. Everything but what we need. So we hit “Adult” content. Then when we went to “Report” it gives us this dialog asking “How is it adult content?” . . . but to our amazement, the only two options were to ‘X’ and close it, or ‘Return’ back to the initial screen. It was a loop. This is what they call a “Dark Pattern”. (Now called “***DECEPTIVE DESIGN***”)

Facebook doesn’t want to be bothered. They don’t want the ad reported. Boom!

We encourage everyone to start reporting any and all ads, reels or posts being shared that are offensive, spam or fake!
