I, a man simple in appearance, complex in substance

Stand here to make known my turmoil

My internal turmoil

For we are called to be “Sons” of God

“To those [who accepted Jesus as their savior]

He gave the power to become Sons of God.”

To this end, our Lord, Jesus Christ died for my sins

Your Sins

Our Sins

Our Addiction

Our Greed

Our Lies

Our Fornication

Our Sins

He did so, that we may have life and “the fullness thereof.”

In doing so, He pledged His love for us, paying the ultimate price.

Are we then, not supposed to reciprocate this same love, albeit feebly?

And some of us do,

At least we claim to.

We pledge our love for Christ, in words, in seed, in “action.”

But do we do so in Heart?

Do we really “Love” God?

Do we really “Love” Jesus?

Are we really His “Sons”?

Why then do we go on sinning?

Why then…?

Let me rephrase that.

I pledge my Love for Christ, in words, in seed, in “actions.”

But do I really love God?

Do I really “Love” God?

Do I really “Love” Jesus?

Am I really His Son?

Why then can I not hear Him?

Why then do I feel so alone?

Why then do I feel lie I’m going nowhere?

Why then do I still sin?

Why then…?

The answer is simple, I do not love Him the way I claim to.

Therefore, I have been lying to myself and everybody else.

Am I then truly who I say I am?

…what I say I am?

Is any of this even real?

Or are we all just sharing a worldwide delusion spanning centuries?

I need answers!

But the One who has them, I cannot hear.

What then can I, a man simple in appearance, complex in substance, do?
