LIVING A PURPOSEFUL LIFE (10) Blessed be the Name of the Lord for His edifying Word of Truth. Salvation is the doorway to purpose. The message of salvation is therefore central because it is the means by which the Spirit of God brings man alive unto God. The message of salvation is the Gospel of Christ, which reveals how Christ came into the world, suffered and was crucified so that humanity might receive everlasting life. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” — John 3:16 Believing this message is the first step to embracing the purposeful life. “For you have been born again [that is, reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose] not of seed which is perishable but [from that which is] imperishable and immortal, that is, through the living and everlasting word of God.” — 1 Peter 1:23 The Holy Spirit brings about this new birth through the Word of God; awakening faith, convicting the heart, and creating new spiritual life within the believer.

“It was of His own will that He gave us birth [as His children] by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits of His creatures [a prime example of what He created to be set apart to Himself—sanctified, made holy for His divine purposes].” — James 1:18 Rebirth is initiated by God’s will. The Holy Spirit performs this transformation within man, using the Word of Truth as the instrument through which this new life is received. Through the rebirth of the Spirit, God brings us into His family and sets us apart for His divine purpose. We are no longer ordinary people living ordinary lives; we become His firstfruits—sanctified vessels meant to reveal His nature and glory on the earth.

Therefore, the foundation of a purposeful life is a regenerated spirit that is alive unto God. When a man experiences regeneration, his identity changes, his desires are transformed, and his understanding is enlightened. He begins to live according to God’s intention rather than mere human ambition. This is because regeneration brings new life, enabling the believer to walk in the realities of Christ rather than fleeting pleasures. “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, all things have become new.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

Salvation is born out of God’s love, not human effort. Through the Gospel of Truth, God brings us into new birth and makes us His children. By salvation, our lives carry divine purpose, not mere existence, enabling us to reflect the nature of our Father and live as vessels set apart for His glory.Indeed, salvation is the doorway to divine purpose. Through salvation, we are renewed in knowledge according to God’s will and are enabled to live purposefully. Be reminded that salvation is the first step to walking in purpose
