Cancer, one of the monsters that ruined my life
Ironically, it’s not the main monster that did that
A year ago around the same time on the month of June, I had made an article that’s called ‘I used to have much more confidence’. A year after I had made that article, I had gained some confidence back, but it’s still not close to the level of confidence that I used to have. One of the big things that destroyed much of the confidence that I used to have is a monster. It’s worse than most other monsters had ever been because this is a monster that truly exists. It’s called cancer.
I had mentioned on some of my earlier articles about my mom dying from cancer, but on those articles, it wasn’t the theme to those articles. I would of been sad regardless of when this would of happen, whether if I had been 50 years old, 40 years old, 30 years old, or 25 years old. When my mom died of cancer over 15 years ago, I wasn’t even halfway through college. That added additional insult to the mental damage that I had in response to mom’s death. I was so upset over it, I literally punched the mirror over the dresser I used to have, and shattered the mirror. I didn’t care that my knuckles bled from that because I was too upset over mom’s death. In addition to her death wrecking my life, her death wrecked my dad’s life too. Due to the financial burden that fell on him after mom’s death, he couldn’t afford to put me back into college in the years after mom’s death. At least we didn’t become homeless after mom’s death. Some years after mom’s death, I had thoughts about wanting to become a boxer to help with the financial issues that my dad was facing after mom’s death. My dad had recommended that I should take up boxing, though this wasn’t because of the financial issues dad had faced after mom’s death. I was more built around 10 years ago, though I let myself go after eating too much junk food. At least years after eating too much junk food, I lost much of the weight that I used to have from eating junk food. Anyway, I chose to not pursue boxing, and I went deeper into the reasons on an article that I had made that’s called ‘I used to want to be a boxer’. Thankfully, I didn’t have to pursue a boxing career to keep myself and dad from going homeless after my mom died from cancer. My dad moved us to a smaller apartment over 5 years after mom’s death. We later moved to a bigger apartment, but due to the inflation of the price of virtually everything, I still currently can’t afford to be independent. Well, at least me and my dad avoided becoming homeless years after my mom’s death.
Cancer is one of the monsters that ruined my life, but ironically, it wasn’t the main monster that ruined my life. I’ll probably explain the main monster in a later article. Anyway, I still miss my mom over 15 years after cancer took her away. While I would of been sad over such a thing happening if I had been independent when it happened, I wouldn’t of been as angry about it if it had happened years after I had became independent. The End.
