Regarding the Armenian Genocide Lie

The absurd slander that Armenians have been spreading for years, in every instance, has, in my opinion, begun to amount to an insult to Turkish identity. Allowing this slander to harm our identity is a disgrace for us Turks. Furthermore, such a genocide never actually happened.

The Dashnaktsutyun and Hunchakian terrorist organisations, in alliance with the Russians, directly launched an attack on Ottoman territories. Furthermore, these terrorist organizations directly attacked the local population, raiding thousands of villages in many regions, primarily Van, Erzurum, Kars, Bitlis, Erzincan, and Iğdır, and massacring civilians, including women, children, and the elderly. These massacres are documented in Turkish and Ottoman archives and in the excavations of mass graves.

Furthermore, to quote directly from Armenia’s first prime minister, Kachaznuni:”The formation of our volunteer units was a mistake. We had unconditionally pledged allegiance to the Russian army… The decision to deport the Turks was military in purpose and a defensive measure. The Turks knew what they were doing, and there is nothing for them to regret today.”— (Hovhannes Katchaznouni, “The Armenian Revolutionary Federation Has Nothing To Do Anymore”, 1923 Report). This report is a very timely and accurate self-criticism. As the report itself states, Armenians posed a significant threat to the safety of the civilian population. In this situation, the Istanbul government could not remain silent and inactive. In short, this was a necessary action taken to ensure security.

Additionally, Stanford Shaw’s second volume of “The Ottoman Empire and Modern Turkey” includes the following passage: “The Ottoman government decided on deportation to prevent Armenians from collaborating with the Russian army to cut Turkish supply lines and massacre civilians. This was not a plan of extermination, but a necessary security measure brought about by war. Most of the deaths resulted not from direct attacks, but from famine, disease, and the general chaos created by war.” (Stanford Shaw & Ezel Kural Shaw, History of the Ottoman Empire and Modern Turkey, Volume 2). This statement aligns with both Ottoman and Turkish sources and is quite consistent within itself. As can be understood from the sources I will quote shortly, the Ottoman Empire had already enacted laws to protect the lives, property, etc., of Armenians who were temporarily forced to leave the region until they reached their destination. The deaths were caused by natural causes such as famine.

To quote Şükrü Server Aya’s critique of the “Blue Book,” a book containing unfounded propaganda published by the British propaganda office: “The ‘Blue Book,’ prepared by Bryce and Toynbee for British war propaganda, is a disinformation tool based on anonymous denunciations and unproven letters that have no legal validity. Most of the claims in this book are war tactics devised to demonize the Ottoman Empire in international public opinion.” (Şükrü Server Aya, Genocide Merchants and the Truth). Anyone living in Eastern countries with even a little historical knowledge will understand that the British are a people who enjoy slandering those they don’t like. Therefore, how is it possible to blindly believe the information in this Blue Book? Personally, I am ashamed to even mention this Blue Book in my article, and I pity those who believe what is written in it.

In the paragraph I quoted from Shaw, the place I will be referring to is: The orders found in the archives of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey is a strong evidence against the Armenian Genocide claim, indicating that there was no intent to commit genocide. To quote from the source mentioned:To quote from the mentioned place: “It is the government’s order to take the necessary measures to protect the lives and property of the immigrants (Armenians) during their transportation, to provide them with food, and to transport them to their settlements. Officials who abuse their duties will be tried in the Martial Court (military courts).”— (Ottoman Archives, Internal Affairs Ministry General Directorate of Security Documents, summaries from the circulars dated 1915).

As another example, what is described as the Armenian Genocide was actually an effort to quell rebellions and protect the state. “The Armenian question was turned into a tool used by imperialist states to dismember the Ottoman Empire. The events of 1915 were not an attempt by a government to annihilate its own subjects; they were a reaction by an empire in its struggle for survival against separatist rebellions and foreign occupation.” — (Turkish Historical Society, General Assessments and Documents Series on the Armenian Question). A country may resort to such a measure to protect its territorial integrity. The Armenians initiated the conflict, and ultimately, actions have consequences, whatever they may be.

In short, this fabricated genocide is nothing more than a lie that Armenians have used for political purposes for years. Of course, there are still some idiots who won’t understand despite this evidence, but in the end, I’ve managed to convince a few people that it’s all a lie.
