Daily Stories #2 — I Love My Life

It was one of those days when everything felt weird. You could just feel it in the air. I went out with my friend, approached a few girls, and it was not my best day. I was in a great mood, but most of them were running somewhere or simply not receptive.
You know those days when you feel like shit and girls react the best? And then there are days when you feel great, confident, social, and nothing really works. This was one of those days.
But after about two hours, my bad luck slowly started to fade away. I ended up eating ice cream with a super cute Colombian girl and finally started really enjoying the game.
Sometimes it is fascinating how quickly everything can change by 180 degrees in a few seconds. One moment nothing works, and then suddenly you are sitting somewhere with a beautiful girl, eating ice cream and having a great time.
But that is daygame, baby.
We spent roughly an hour together, and then I walked her back to her hotel and made plans for the next day. I already had plans to meet my friend, so I could not stay longer.
On my way to meet him, I approached a few more girls and finally found my friend. We got some food and decided to go to a club for one drink.
We got our drinks, met some girls, and I danced a bit. A lot of things happened there during a very short period of time, but that is a different story.
While I was dancing, my phone somehow jumped out of my pocket and hit the floor. The buttons were still working, so I was able to pay, but the touchscreen was completely dead.
We wrapped up the night and started walking home together.
On the way, I saw an attractive girl sitting on a bench, so I went over to talk to her. Five minutes later, we were walking to a nearby bar to grab a drink.
My friend understood what was happening and just sent me a message:
“GL.”
We went to my home bar, which also happens to be one of the best cocktail bars in the city. I know almost everyone there, and even though they were about to close, I knew one drink would be okay. I shook hands with everyone as we walked inside, sat down at a table, and started talking to her.
I recommended a drink, and when the waiter came over to ask whether she knew what she wanted, he placed my favorite cocktail directly in front of me.
She looked confused and said, “What the fuck? You did not speak to anyone and you just got a drink.”
“I told you I know some people, and some people know me,” I replied and smiled at her.
I could not have planned better social proof if I tried.
We continued talking and slowly got much closer. She was a really smart, artsy, and sexy girl from Kazakhstan. I had the feeling that another thirty minutes might be enough for the night to become very interesting.
But the biggest fuckup came when it was time to pay and, for some reason, my phone suddenly decided that I needed to enter my passcode.
I looked at it and was like, “Ehhh… ehmmm… fuck.”
The touchscreen was not working, so there was no chance of entering the code.
I explained what happened to my friend behind the bar and told him I would stop by the next day to pay. He was completely cool with it, while the girl was observing the whole situation.
I took it with ease, everyone was fine with it, and nothing dramatic happened. She seemed a little surprised by the whole situation, but in a good way.
Young people would probably say I was aura farming.
On our way out of the bar, I invited her back to my place. She refused, as I knew she probably would, but I still had to try because I did not really have any other option.
She was still in the mood to continue somewhere else, and I replied, “I would love to, but you will need to invite me, baby.”
She was not willing to do that, and that was okay. I walked her to the night tram and went home.
Takeaway
Even when you feel great, you can still have bad luck with girls. Then everything can turn around, only for your logistics to fuck you over.
Maybe with a working phone, the night would have ended differently. Maybe not.
But it is easy to love your life when everything goes your way. The real skill is going through the frustrating, ridiculous moments and still being able to smile and say:
“I love my life.”
