Technology as a tool
I see the use of technology and its integration with people as a means of transforming and scaling businesses. This has allowed me to be successful in leading large service businesses in the Americas, EMEA and the Asia Pacific regions. My strength in utilizing technology to streamline operations and provide for a better customer experience helps clients achieve excellence.
Diversity is key
The importance of diversity and talent development is the key to sustainability. I delivered financial success, while building top-tier leadership teams incorporating dedicated DE&I initiatives at GE and Johnson & Johnson.
As a firm believer that corporate culture is truly the key sustainable competitive advantage, I understand that cultures must be respected, developed, and transformed, in both business and society.
International roles and having deep cultural roots in the Caribbean helped me develop, understand, and appreciate the opportunity to work with people from different cultures, a critical skill for growing revenues and business in new market segments.
Patron Of The Arts
In addition to working in the corporate world, I followed my passion and created ZuCot Gallery. This African-American Fine Art Gallery is now the largest of its kind in the Southeast of the United States. Visitors and patrons will find and can purchase collectable art with deep cultural relevance produced by some of the best living African American artists in the United States. At ZuCot Gallery we believe that what you hang on your walls reflects who you are, it is a window into your values, beliefs, and your convictions… COME . . . SEE . . . COLLECT.
Tyronne Stoudemire
Transformation Champion
One of my strengths is championing a transformation in the enterprises and organizations where I work. Whether working with board members, executive, or middle-management teams, I discern and account for others’ world views with care and empathy.
I believe that seeking creative solutions helps in outperforming and moving ahead of the competition. I welcome the chance to seize opportunities, contribute to the decision-making process, and tap into cultural differences to resolve conflicts. All of these factors contribute to building a strong organization that can withstand the tests of today.
My transformational work helps to address complicated socio-economic issues that assist in leveling the playing field for everyone. As an established author, public speaker, and trusted consultant, I capitalize on my influencer status by being a pacesetter in the industries and organizations I serve.
Visionary Thought Leader
As a visionary thought leader, I spearhead bias removal in existing systems using various approaches, including data interpretation for complex problems.
I’ve collaborated with leadership teams in previous roles to develop marketplace strategies that leverage diversity, talent, and culture to establish global growth and enterprise.
These initiatives include launching mentoring programs and resource groups and PR to drive internal engagement with under-represented and emerging demographics.
Currently, I’m open to serving on boards that wish to integrate more diversity and inclusion into their corporate or organizational structure for broader reach and affinity.
Tonie Leatherberry
A passionate and invested leader
Tonie has devoted much of her professional life to creating opportunities for women and people of color. At Deloitte, she was the principal architect of The Board Leadership Forum and the NextGen CEO Academy, each of which has had a meaningful impact, ultimately placing more than 70 Black leaders into executive-level and board roles.
As Chair of the ELC, Tonie created the Chairman’s Council of Academic Achievement to address achievement gaps for students of color in America’s educational systems. Tonie served as the President of the Deloitte Foundation, the mission of which is to drive initiatives to develop future leaders through education. In this role she has overseen the distribution of over $50M in grants to 400+ schools.
A frequent writer and speaker
Tonie has authored numerous articles and white papers for Deloitte, NACD Directorship, Directors and Boards, and many other publications. In 2019, she co-authored Technology and the Boardroom: The CIO’s Guide to Engaging the Board which was published by Harvard Law School’s Forum on Corporate Governance.
Tonie’s achievements have been widely recognized. She has been named to Consulting Magazine’s list of the top 25 consultants globally, the NACD Directorship 100, and Black Enterprise’s Most Powerful Women in Business. She is also a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
A believer in the power of lifelong learning
Tonie plans to pursue a doctorate in higher education in her post-Deloitte career. She has an MBA in Operations from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science — Mechanical Engineering from Boston University.
