Jinan Municipal Animal Husbandry Association Advances International Cooperation at China–Pakistan Agricultural Investment Conference

Our platform continues to actively support international agricultural cooperation, following our successful assistance to the Jinan Livestock Association in participating in the China–Brazil Agricultural Investment Conference and facilitating multiple collaborative projects.

On January 19, 2026, a delegation from the Jinan Municipal Animal Husbandry Association, fully organized and coordinated by our platform, attended the China–Pakistan Agricultural Investment Conference in Islamabad, Pakistan. The delegation was accompanied throughout the event by Mr. Wang Zihai, Honorary Investment Counselor of Pakistan and Director of the Pakistan–China Center, who facilitated their participation and supported in-depth engagement with conference stakeholders.

As a core event under China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) 2.0 agricultural cooperation, the conference brought together 115 Chinese enterprises, 165 Pakistani companies, along with policymakers, investors, and industry leaders from both countries. At the opening session, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted agriculture as a cornerstone of Pakistan’s national economy and expressed strong interest in promoting industrial transformation through the introduction of advanced Chinese technologies. Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong proposed expanding bilateral agricultural trade to USD 1 billion and emphasized prioritizing technology-driven agricultural cooperation.

Under the guidance and arrangements of Mr. Wang Zihai, the Jinan delegation — led by Secretary-General Li Yanqin and Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Feifei — focused on cooperation opportunities within the animal husbandry sector. During the afternoon session, the delegation conducted project discussions and exchanges with multiple Pakistani companies and institutions, engaging in in-depth dialogue on livestock breeding, smart farming technologies, and market expansion.

These exchanges resulted in several preliminary cooperation agreements. Both sides expressed strong confidence in future collaboration and agreed to formally sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Pakistan at a later date, laying a solid foundation for sustained China–Pakistan cooperation in animal husbandry and modern agriculture.

Through strategic coordination and international matchmaking, our platform remains committed to supporting Chinese agricultural organizations in expanding global partnerships and contributing to high-quality international agricultural cooperation under the Belt and Road framework.
