It ain’t easy being perfect

Here’s a tale told in ten lines no less.

I thought it couldn’t be done, I confess.

Perfection requires careful thought and wit.

Up to now, all I could say is, “That’s not it.”

Average writers prove that perfect’s not easy.

The effort required can make us quite queasy.

Have a point, stick with it, don’t be led astray.

Readers will know when you lose your way.

Bring it home, then stop. No need to embellish.

And leave your fans with something they’ll relish.
