This text is about a special kind of person who can be found in many places.

Do you recognise them?

I have lived long enough to recognise a person who loves the mirror more than the people. There is always such a face in times like ours.

A man who enters the room as if the world were created for him alone. He talks a great deal about strength but cannot bear to be contradicted.

He demands loyalty, applause, and obedience. Like a child who never learned that other people have lives too. And perhaps the strange thing is not that such people exist.

The strange thing is that we hand them the keys to the entire house.

Because while they shout the loudest about honour, power, and greatness, Ordinary people stand quietly and hold society together.

The woman arriving for the night shift. The man driving the bus through the snow. Those who prepare meals, teach children to read, Comfort the frightened and bury the dead.

It is the quiet people who carry the world forward. I have seen the autocrat before. He often arrives with the same look:

A gaze that never truly sees other people, only how they can be used. He calls unrest strength. He calls fear order.

And around him stand people who nod a little too eagerly. Perhaps because they hope to feel a little warmth from power. Perhaps because it is easier than standing upright alone.

But I have also seen How strangely small power becomes when it is measured against a human being with a conscience.

Because while they shout the loudest from stages and screens, An old person sits quietly holding another person’s hand.

And there is more human dignity in that moment than in all the speeches about nation, dominance, and control.

It is the quiet people who hold back the darkness. Perhaps the most absurd thing of all is this:

That a society full of wise people Again and again allows itself to be led by those who have the least doubt about themselves. As if the absence of self-awareness were mistaken for strength.

As if noise were mistaken for wisdom. I have lived long enough to know that the most secure people rarely feel the need to dominate others.

So I place my trust in ordinary human beings. In those who can still listen before they judge.

In those who share their bread, Keep their promises, show up, and try to live decent lives in troubled times.

Because when history one day looks back at us, I do not think it will ask who shouted the loudest.

I think it will ask who was still able to remain human.

What do you think about this?

For medan dei ropar høgast Frå scenar og skjermar Sit eit gamalt menneske stille Og held eit anna menneske I handa
