How my student launched an EdTech startup in Uzbekistan
Most students simply learn. But one of my students decided to create something real.
WHAT IS Gradly? Gradly is an education-focused platform that focuses on:
- IELTS preparation
- Academic conferences
- Learning with AI
The idea is simple — combining education, technology and real opportunities.
THE STORY: The project was built by Yadgarov Fayzullo, a full-Stack programmer, 2nd year student of the IT Department of BUCHEON UNIVERSITY in Tashkent.
Instead of just studying technologies, he decided to apply them to a real problem — education.
THE PROBLEM: The education landscape in Uzbekistan is changing rapidly.
Starting July 11, 2025, IELTS has switched to a new format:
Listening, reading and writing are now done on a computer Only speaking remains offline
This has created new challenges for students:
- lack of digital learning tools
- difficulty adapting to computer-based exams
- limited access to academic conferences
- lack of clear guidelines on how to publish research
THE SOLUTION — is Gradly.uz
Gradly.uz is an edtech platform enhanced with artificial intelligence.
It helps students:
- Prepare for the IELTS exam in a digital format
- Understand academic pathways
- Explore conference opportunities
- Learn more effectively with AI
WHY THIS MATTERSS: EdTech and IT are rapidly evolving.
Today, students need:
- digital skills
- global opportunities
- structured learning paths
Platforms like Gradly are not just tools — they are the bridge between local education and global standards.
As a teacher, I believe that true learning occurs when students create meaningful things.
This project demonstrates:
- initiative
- understanding real problems
- the ability to turn knowledge into value
And this is the direction in which education should develop.
WHAT’s NEXT: The vision doesn’t stop there.
It can grow gradually by expanding its features:
- add more languages (including Korean)
- adapt to international users
