Department of Public Safety Receives Donation

Always dedicated to our communities and those who serve it, when called upon to help the members of the Department of Public Safety Honor Guard, TSTA was happy to contribute.

William Diggs, Chairperson at the DPS Quarter Century Club, initially reached out to TSTA’s Claude Hart because the DPS Quarter Century Club banquet was approaching and the Honor Guard is automatically activated for the assignment. The DPS Honor Guard consists of 16 commissioned employees, 5 being in the Flag Detail and the other 11 in the Pipe and Drum Corps. All 16 members must be in attendance during the entire banquet.

TSTA was called upon to aid in funding the Honor Guard’s meals for the evening, at $25 per Guard member, and it was our distinct pleasure to help out.

TSTA donated $200 to help with the meal costs of the DPS Honor Guard. It is always our hope to be there for our community in any way that we can and it’s through donations and involvement like this that we hope to maintain that reputation for many, many years to come.
