BONK’s 2025 Asia Run

BONK began 2025 with a quiet but deliberate goal: to deepen roots across Asia in more than ordinary ways. The Dog leaned into the APAC community and what followed has been a string of activations that moved from high-profile exchange partnerships to intimate art exhibitions, with more to come, all tailored to the rhythms of the region.

Hong Kong

The journey began in February at Consensus Hong Kong, a regional debut that set the tone for the year ahead. With panels, podcasts, and product days, this was an opportunity to introduce the token’s ethos to a wider Asian audience, positioning BONK as more than an ordinary meme coin but as a community-powered cultural asset within the broader Solana ecosystem.

Korea

In March, BONK pulled off something no other token has managed in Korea: a direct partnership with a centralized exchange in a market known for its strict neutrality and regulations.

Bithumb’s collaboration with BONK was the first of its kind, offering a subtle but powerful signal from the second largest CEX in Korea, and one of the worlds top 20 exchanges. From the center of Gangnam, they hosted a BONK event featuring an AMA with BONK contributors, food trucks, and offerings from Exchange Art.

The move generated significant press and social attention, cementing BONK’s position as an international token. This wasn’t just about a listing, but a cultural nod of approval from one of Asia’s most influential markets.

Japan

As spring turned to summer, BONK shifted over to Japan with a June three-day art event that saw 1000+ attendees in collaboration with Exchange Art, The Solana Foundation, Solfare, and Superteam Japan for a more than ordinary activation.

The event brought together Japanese digital artists and local collectors in a gallery for three days of dancing, culture, and community, breathing new life into the intersection of art and technology all along Cat Street in Shibuya, one of the most notable spaces in Tokyo. By respectfully onboarding Japanese creators to the Exchange Art platform, BONK stays involved as they support the country’s rich creative economy as collaborators.

As the Dog Days of summer get started we look ahead to August 24th, where BONK will be front and center at the **SuperTokyo Conference, organized by [Superteam Japan](https://x.com/SuperteamJapan)**.

Looking Ahead

Lingering in Tokyo, BONK will make an appearance at WebX, before rolling into Bitcoin Asia in Hong Kong, Korea Blockchain Week (KBW) in Seoul, and Token2049** in Singapore.**

The Dog may know how to get down, but the community can prepare to be met with some unexpected activations this Autumn. From there, the roadmap points south: Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam are on the radar for Q4, extending BONK’s cultural footprint deeper into Southeast Asia’s fast-growing crypto communities.

The throughline in all of this APAC journey is that BONK’s strategy isn’t about throwing the loudest party in the room: it’s about timing, cultural fit, and letting the community grow through meaningful experiences, whether that’s an art exhibit in Shibuya, or a surprise exchange partnership that bends industry norms.

While the first half of 2025 saw BONK arrive with respect to the region, the second half is about making sure Asia becomes a long-term home.
