This is not a funding round. It is not a partnership announcement. It is an infrastructure decision — one that directly affects how fast contributors receive tasks, how reliably images are generated and stored, and how securely enterprise clients can access the datasets they need.
What is Cloudflare for Startups
Cloudflare for Startups is a program that gives early-stage companies access to Cloudflare’s full product suite through credit-based tiers. The program is structured into four levels, ranging from $5,000 in credits for bootstrapped startups to $250,000 for high-growth and AI-focused companies backed by top-tier venture capital or accelerator partners.
GenToEarn has been accepted into Tier 1, the entry-level tier for bootstrapped and stealth-stage startups. This provides $5,000 in credits toward Cloudflare’s Developer Platform products, plus enterprise-level domain access with CDN, DDoS protection, WAF, DNS, and Zero Trust security features.
To be clear about what this is: it is a starting point. The program validates that GenToEarn meets Cloudflare’s criteria as a legitimate software startup building on their platform. It gives us access to enterprise-grade infrastructure at a stage where most startups are stitching together free-tier services and hoping nothing breaks. That matters more than the dollar amount.
What Cloudflare powers in GenToEarn
Cloudflare is not a new addition to our stack. GenToEarn has been built on Cloudflare’s infrastructure from the beginning. The platform relies on several core Cloudflare services that directly affect the contributor and enterprise experience.
Workers AI handles the image generation pipeline. When a contributor submits a prompt, the request routes through Cloudflare Workers to run inference on FLUX.2. This means image generation happens at the edge — closer to the contributor, with lower latency than centralized GPU clusters. For a platform where contributors are evaluated partly on throughput and consistency, reducing generation time by even a few hundred milliseconds compounds into a meaningfully better experience.
R2 Object Storage stores every generated image along with its associated metadata — prompt text, quality scores, model parameters, timestamps, and QC status. Cloudflare’s edge network ensures that distance from a central server does not create a disadvantage for contributors in underserved regions — which is exactly where GenToEarn aims to create the most economic opportunity.
What this means for enterprise clients

Infrastructure and data quality are more closely linked than most people realize. When a contributor submits a prompt, the quality of the resulting data sample depends not just on the prompt itself, but on the entire pipeline that processes it.
If the image generation service is slow, contributors rush through prompts to compensate. If storage is unreliable, metadata can be lost between generation and labeling stages. If the API that runs quality scoring has high latency, the feedback loop that helps contributors improve their work becomes sluggish and less effective.
Reliable infrastructure makes the quality control pipeline work the way it was designed to work. Automated QC checks run immediately after generation. Human labeling tasks are distributed without delay. Model-assisted validation processes samples consistently. And contributors see their quality scores in near real-time, which reinforces the behaviors that produce better data.
This is why infrastructure is not a background concern for a data platform. It is a direct input to the quality of the output.
What comes next
Cloudflare for Startups is a tiered program. Tier 1 is where GenToEarn starts. As the platform grows — more contributors, more enterprise clients, larger datasets, higher API throughput — the infrastructure needs will grow with it.
The program is structured so that startups can advance through tiers as they scale. Moving from Tier 1 to Tier 2 unlocks $25,000 in credits. Tier 3 provides $100,000. Tier 4, designed for high-growth and AI-focused companies, offers up to $250,000.
GenToEarn’s path through these tiers will track directly with platform growth. More contributors generating images means more Workers AI inference. More images means more R2 storage.
