The Feeling of Loss — A Poem
The very first thought of the day is extremely lax, The world that appears at ease — tumbles down and breaks - A shattered mirror transformed into splinters and cracks, That neither reflects nor refracts. Summarizing mistakes
You fall on the floor, imitating the fractured expanse, Your face lies in pieces, beside all your hopes and beliefs, Your fingers disperse, and the ashes submit to a dance Repeating the pattern of crumpling withered leaves.
Your voice so often engaged in an eloquent speech Is twisting and warping and swiveling down the drain. And though you are screaming — unlikely the sound will reach The ears of those who designed this unbearable pain.
