Amaze Amaze Amaze

The world can’t keep calm because Dr. Grace and Rocky have shown love like no other. How do you leave your entire civilization for a being that doesn’t even speak your language?

I know how he did. I’d do that for Arya and Summer (my dogs).

When I was listening to the book (yes listen to it, it’s so good!!) and Grace figured out that he could either go back to Earth or go save his friend. I knew, I KNEW he would go back for Rocky. Not because he is brave, not because he didn’t want to go back to Earth. But because the thought of living while Rocky died is unfathomable. I wept when Rocky says, “‘You are…’ he squeaks. ‘You…’ he squeaks again. ‘You are here!’”.

I don’t know when I fell so deeply in love with dogs. But it is safe to say that it has happened. I feel their happiness, their kindness, their joy, their despair, their pain, and their death. They say heaven awaits me with all of them. Boy, does dying suddenly feel hopeful because I get to see all my dogs.

It is fascinating how you can love a being so much. They aren’t related to me, they aren’t my blood, they aren’t my species, but when I look into their eyes I see something. Something so pure, so innocent and so full of love. Love for me? What have I even done to deserve this love? And yet they give it to me without question.

On my good days and bad days they seem to be happy to be by my side. They know I’m not one of them, but I have been adopted like I am. I am part of the pack and for that I’ll always be grateful.

If I could, I’d save every dog (probably every animal) but I’m glad that Grace saved his Rocky. Heck if you ask him he’d tell you that Rocky saved him. That there is no friend like Rocky.
