1. Linkin Park — Breaking the Habit

Circa 2002–2004. Cable TV just hit Vietnam, MTV Asia was the shit. Eminem, Jay-Z, OutKast, Good Charlotte, Eamon and Linkin Park. We were all brainwashed from rock and rap.

This track is not the best nor most favorite LP but it reminds me of when music taste was shaping. Not claiming to be a fan but I did have Meteora on loop for brazillion times. My generation all did.

2. Eamon — Fuck It! (I Don’t Want You Back)

Can’t believe posting LP tribute brings me back to this gem. If I have to pick on single track to define the MTV Asia era, this gotta be it. Imagine sang this nonstop at 7th grade then went home and watched its mvi 13 times on different chart.

Hand down the hardest breakup song ever, you don’t even need a breakup to love this.

3. Ashlee Simpson — Shadow

MTV Asia is the theme today it seems. There was the time when teenpop was a thing. Who the HilaryDuff/LindsayLohan/AshleeSimpson tiebreaker? This girl, lyrically, musically and aesthetically.
