I joined a 15-minute GFGConnect call expecting the usual generic advice, but the mentor went straight for the core of my confusion. I asked him whether I should follow DevOps or stay aligned with Data Science and ML. He smiled and said, โDekho, agar maths aur coding se thoda bhi pasand hai, then donโt run away from Data Science. Thatโs where the real growth and impact are.โ Hearing that felt like someone finally switched on the lights.
He explained how todayโs tech world, every decision, every prediction, every product roadmap is powered by data. DevOps matters, but Data Science shapes the direction companies move in. The demand is huge because businesses need people who can actually understand data, not just store it. And in that moment, I realised the path was clearer than I thought.
Before ending the call, he added one last line that stuck with me: โProjects banao, frameworks sikho, aur Maths ko strong karoโ Simple, practical, and oddly motivating. It felt like clarity settling into place slow, quiet, and absolutely certain.
