Complete Trust

On the train coming back from the holidays, a little girl and her mother sat opposite me. She listened attentively as her mother read to her from a children’s book.

I stared, in awe of the tenderness and complete trust between mother and child.

The scene replayed in my mind as I walked home; it became clear to me that God the Father shows us love and tenderness; we’re the ones struggling with complete trust.

Why do we find it difficult to trust God?
