Guide to create Import/Export Sheet using Oracle Visual Builder and REST APIs
This is a demonstration on how oracle consultants and Business users can create their own Mass Upload spreadsheets using Oracle Visual Builder and REST APIs provided by Oracle for Fusion. For this demo will be using the Inspection REST API.
Step 1- Try to find a REST API for your required process using the following link
For this demonstration we will use the example of updating the ‘Status’ of an Inspection plan in oracle fusion quality management.
REST API for our case is-‘/fscmRestApi/resources/11.13.18.05/inspectionPlans’

As we want to update existing Inspection Plans we have chosen the ‘GET’ API for our use case, we can choose ‘UDPATE’/’CREATE’ APIs depending on the requirements.
Step 2- Copy the link of the instance you want to update the Inspection plans in or do the transactions in.
Now to create the Mass upload sheet we need to create the Web address for our process which is in the following format
· The instance link- **https://-test-saasfaprod1.fs.oraclecloud.com**
· The REST endpoint we copied earlier-/fscmRestApi/resources/11.13.18.05/inspectionPlans
· ‘Describe’-/describe Describe is import for us to fetch the business objects related to our transactions
Step 3- Get oracle visual builder for Excel using the following link-Oracle Visual Builder Add-in For Excel

Step 4- Open Excel click on ‘ Oracle Visual Builder’ then click on ‘Designer’ and enter the web address we created in Step 2 and click on Next

After you click on Next it will ask you to authenticate yourself

You will get the following prompt if the web address is correctly created

Click on next and then select the top most business object and click on next.

Click on table format and click on Next and Then click on Finish

Once we have finished the creation the sheet will look like this with Layout Designer available to customize the fields as per requirements.

To download the data we would need to have some parameters on the basis of which we can filter out the data for download and to add those parameters click on ‘Download’ then click on the Pencil Icon and search for your required parameters, for our case its ‘Organisation Code’

Click on ‘Download’ and then add the data in the download parameter

The data will be downloaded.
Update the value of the Status of the required Inspection Plan and then click on upload.

You will get the notification that upload is successful.
