I’m kind of scared
If you read my last blog post you would know that I applied for GSoC26 for LLVM. Tomorrow at 1800UTC they will announce the result.

I’m scared shit. I know I said my backup plan was to work on an internship next year and that plan is still on, but I have very much envisioned my summer to be filled with GSoC. I guess I lead myself on but my proposal was so good I promise. Anyways, I’m not stupid, I know that other people might just get the project and not me.
The thing is this would be my first “real” failure. Before this, all my failures were either self inflicted or had no impact. But this has impact, REAL impact. I mean imagine reading the resume of this kid applying to be an intern and you see a GSoC contributor, that too LLVM. I would be a steal!
It would show recruiters that I have experience working in a professional environment, can work on large scale systems and essentially have experience.
All I want is to be the best, or at least, really good at this.
And btw, I have completed 57 questions in Blind 75. I’ll update you all every time I write a blog.
These articles will probably be a series, I guess I should name it. How about, “How I got a Google internship in my 3rd year of getting a CS degree”. (fake it till you make it)
