Process Notes Assignment

• Where are you in your sound-writing process? — — As of right now, I am currently done recording my podcast.

1. What’s been done and what’s still left to do? — I have recorded my podcast and need to submit it.

• What are your biggest accomplishments and failures so far? — — My biggest accomplishment so far is definitely writing my script. I really struggled finding a topic that I could narrow down and research. I fell behind in this process because of this and I would consider that a failure. I had a different topic before I had the one I am currently working on and I think too much time was wasted on that.

1. How do you feel about that? — — I am proud that I was able to find a topic that I could focus more closely on.

• What have you learned so far? — — I have successfully deepened my learning of the women’s rights movement.
• What ideas did you grapple with? — — I grappled with the issue of women’s rights and issues such as abortion.

1. Which problems have you solved, and which are you continuing to grapple with? — — Equal treatment of women has been and unfortunately will remain to be an issue, however, I feel as if I provide more insight into this issue. It is my hope that others were able to learn more and educate themselves about this issue. I will continue to grapple with this issue.
2. How might you overcome the challenges and struggles? — -One way I can overcome this issue is by continuing to research and talk about it. By spreading correct and accurate information about this, I believe I can effectively help raise awareness.

• What decisions have emerged lately as you plan and work on your project? — — I have just chosen a time to record my podcast in the studio.
• What is the next step in your composing process? — — I need to find audio clips I can incorporate into my show as well as choose jazz music to incorporate.

1. What do you need to do, know, and write? — — I need to practice reading my script out loud in preparation for recording in the studio.

1. How are you feeling about your progress toward achieving your purpose? — — I think I am fairly close to achieving my purpose. Once I record my script, I think I’ll be even closer.
2. How are you feeling about your progress toward affecting your audience? — — I think I am progressing well. I feel that I will have a decent effect on my audience once this is broadcasted.
3. How are you feeling about your progress toward situating your work in time and place of your context? — — I am confident that my work will be done on time. Although I had a few setbacks, I was able to recover and pull through.
4. How are you feeling about your progress toward following the expectations of your genre? — — I feel as if I am decently following the expectations of my genre. I am doing adequate research and making sure my facts are correct and meaningful.
