Very recently, the Canadian IRCC Minister, Sean Fraser told in his speech that the government would be continuously working on prioritizing family reunification so that they can attract those candidates who contribute to the success of the country. He consecutively announced enhancements to Canada’s super visa program. These changes will make it easier for Canadians to reunite with their parents and grandparents in Canada and will allow Super Visa holders to stay for a longer period of time. These changes will be implemented from 7, July. Which are like this :

1. Extend the length of stay in Canada to 5 years for super visa holders per entry.

2. People who have a super visa also have the advantage to request to extend their stay by up to 2 years at a time while in Canada.

3. In future, give the rights of the Minister of IRCC to nominate international medical insurance companies to provide coverage to super visa applicants.

4. At the present time, only Canadian insurance providers can provide the necessary medical coverage that is required for super visa applicants.

5. Information about any designated medical insurance companies based outside Canada will be notified later on the IRCC website.

6. Canada Super Visa Program is known as Multiple Entry Visa which is valid for up to 10 years and this program allows parents and grandparents to stay in Canada for 2 years at a time.

7. Since 2011, Canadian citizens and permanent residents have been able to reunite with their parents and grandparents in Canada for an extended period of time through this Super Visa program.

8. This makes the super visa more beneficial than the regular multiple-entry visitor visa, under which the duration of stay is usually 6 months or less.

9. By making Super Visa more accessible, we will continue our commitment to keeping families together.
