Being busy has become a personality trait now.
Ask someone how they’re doing, and the answer is often the same.
“Busy.”
Not good or bad. Just busy.
We’ve started treating packed calendars, long to-do lists, and constant availability as proof that we’re doing something right. The busier we are, the more productive or successful we seem.
I, too, had felt guilty for having a slow day, like I was wasting time.
But being busy and being fulfilled aren’t the same thing. Sometimes we’re busy because we want to avoid our own thoughts.
The **goal isn’t to do more but to stop measuring our worth by how busy our day is and stop seeking [external validation](https://wellsoulmudrika.com/how-to-stop-seeking-validation-from-others)**.
Being busy is something you do, but it shouldn’t be who you are.
