A CHILD NEEDS QUALITY EDUCATION

Proper education for a child is necessary in this rapidly changing world without debate. Education is a lifelong process of acquiring knowledge, skills, values, and habits that can serve as a foundation for shaping a child’s life in society. Education is not only about subjects like science or language but also about building confidence, creativity, discipline, and values. An educated child can think independently, solve their own problems, and contribute positively to society.

Childhood is a developmental stage for every individual, and children at that age are curious to learn new things. Educating a child at this time improves their social interaction and communication skills. Schools provide an appropriate learning environment and teach children several values in life, such as respect, sharing, responsibility, cooperation, and teamwork

Most people misunderstand education as only about theories, homework, and passing exams. More than that, it is about personal growth, understanding, and acquiring certain values in life. Parents are finding relief in sending their children to school as part of their daily routine, like brushing their teeth. And what happens in schools? In schools, teachers usually teach the textbooks word by word, and children try to memorise the text word by word. Here comes the main problem of child education. The education of a child is not sending a child with a heavy bag full of books and lunch. Children go to school with heavy bags and return with heavy minds, feeling education as a burden, which later creates hate towards education.

For proper education, we need a team of parents, teachers, and children. Parents should try to know how their kids feel about school and spend time with them before and after school. Children need encouragement and emotional support to perform better and to be appreciated and understood. More than focusing on their marks, we should encourage their passion and find out their talents. Teachers and parents should be the best friends of every child. Instead of focusing on textbooks, teachers should find children’s capabilities and nurture them.

Academic knowledge is not enough; a child must learn the values of kindness, empathy, respect, care, and honesty to become a responsible individual in society. Nowadays, people are losing their values in life and becoming fragmented.

For a progressive society, we need progressive children, and this progress is only possible when we start shaping these individuals from their childhood with proper education. Every child has the right to quality education without any discrimination. A child’s education is the foundation for a better society.
