Happy Birthday to Me

I want to write this on the eve of my birthday because I’ve been feeling so blessed and so deeply loved. I want to remember these moments and simply count my blessings.

My life has been a charmed one. I don’t say that because everything has always been easy or because I have it all figured out. I say it because, despite all the hardships, I still have so much to be grateful for. From the most important gift – my health – to the little sparkles that brighten a day: a wave from a stranger, a smile from a baby, or a dog that comes over just to say hello.

And then there are the people in my life. Wow… more than anything else, they are what make me feel like the luckiest person in the world. They are what make my life truly charmed. I am blessed with so much love and support. Some people have been there more than others, but there has always been someone beside me when I’ve needed them most.

I seem to gravitate towards beautiful souls. It’s almost as if God knew I would need them to make this life richer, lighter, and more joyful to live.

So, to everyone who has been part of my life – past and present – thank you. Thank you, from the top and the bottom of my heart.

Some of you have walked this journey with me from the very beginning. Some came into my life for a season, left, and found your way back again. Some of our paths have parted, but your love and kindness have never been forgotten. Others have only recently become part of my guiding lights. Every single one of you holds a special place in my heart, reminding me just how much love a heart can hold.

And to those I may never truly know, yet who have somehow touched my life in ways big or small, thank you too. Every act of kindness, every smile, every conversation, every lesson – you have all made a difference.

Everyone is appreciated more than words could ever express. My gratitude is endless.

Here’s to another year of living, learning, loving, and counting my blessings.
