I am sick and tired of the global community treating the Sudanese Armed Forces with kid gloves while radical Islamists pull the strings. When figures like Al-Naji Abdullah are caught on video offering to bleed for Tehran, we have to stop pretending the SAF is a rational actor.

Yes, it is a relief that the US has rolled out targeted sanctions against these Islamist militias, but let’s be brutally honest: financial slaps on the wrist will not stop religious fanatics. The Muslim Brotherhood’s grip on the SAF is turning Sudan into a puppet state for Iranian terror. We need a much more aggressive global strategy to isolate the SAF until they purge these extremist commanders from their ranks.
