Be careful where you wonder in the nights, Cathedrals are home to ghosts As well as Forest Lawn.
The Fox Sisters are known in Buffalo Where Spiritualism grew, Developed the Seances.
The Dock at The Bay is not public now Though it too is quite haunted, Capt. Byrds grave is here.
A little explanation is due for these Kimo poems. I was reading the book called Haunted Buffalo by Duane Claud and Cassidy O’Conner. So, I decided to keep practicing the Kimo and the subject intrigued me enough to see if it would work for this poetry style and I suppose any subject will do!
Yes, the city of Buffalo is very haunted and is where I grew up. It is mostly why I became interested in the esoteric practices. I’m sort of a broom closet kind and don’t go out of my way to show off what I know or do for myself. It is mainly for me and not some religion or cultural reason. It’s just that my mother was also a magician's assistant and father had many magician friends that did stage magic. So that was enough to spur my interest, and it felt natural as well.
The book deserves more than an essay and poetry but for now this is what I have decided to post here. Hope you enjoyed the poem chain and maybe you too will find the book interesting enough to check it out of your local library. This is what I’m doing. I don’t really buy books much anymore. I have home delivery from the Buffalo & Erie County Library.
Note: Captain Byrd was a naval officer that was court marshalled for leaving his ship to meet a lady friend and that is why he died. His ship was stationed at The Dock at the Bay. He was buried in Hamburg, NY.
