2 Italian movies for a summer to relax, with Ornella Muti and Adriano Celentano

One of the best and funniest Italian movies, with some of my favorite Italian stars from the eighties

The films of the couple Adriano Celentano — Ornella Muti are so beautiful, funny, and spontaneous that they simply deserve to be seen by everyone, on youtube, or any other streaming platform. They are great!

“Innamorato pazzo” 1981 and the second one they did together, “The taming of the scoundrel” — “Il bisbetico domato” 1980, Castellano and Pipolo’s retelling of the comedy “The Taming of the Shrew” by William Shakespeare, are simply delicious.

“Innamorato pazzo”: Cristina, the princess of San Tulipe, visits France where she meets Barnaba, a bus driver. Barnaba, unaware of her true identity, falls in love with her. This is a remake di Castellano e Pipolo di «Vacanze Romane» (1953) di William Wyler con Gregory Peck e Audrey Hepburn, which is probably why this movie, the plot is a total delight. And so much fun, even if no one, absolutely no one can compare to Audrey Hepburn on the big screen, my opinion. ( the source: corriere.it)

There is a lot of action, a lot of funny moments, and there is the incredible talent of the forgotten (?) Adriano Celentano, who acts, sings, dances, takes makes crazy things to conquer the princess’ heart (or on the contrary, to defy and despise her love in the seconf film).

In “The taming of the scoundrel” — “Il bisbetico domato” 1980, Adriano Celentano plays the part of Elia, a well-to-do and witty farmer who is, however, a somewhat grumpy loner who specifically resists his housekeeper Mamie’s efforts to marry him off to a nice girl. One stormy night, however, a beautiful young lady named Lisa is forced to stop at his farmstead because her car has broken down while she was on her way to her fiancé. Intrigued by Elia’s personality, she decides to stay and make the grumpy farmer come out of his rough shell, an intention which in time develops into genuine affection.

I love, in this movies, their spontaneous, charming acting, especially the remarkable Adriano Celentano, a major TV star and showman of the Italian eighties.

You will have a relaxing, fine evening watching these two.
