How long have we been carrying it?

“SUFFOCATION” is the end of silence ,, the silence , we’ve been providing for this society , the silence that we replied with, for our family . But it did not end it all. Silence was never the solution that we thought it was.

It all started from our first step , our first word.

That day , Mother was happy, that you made it earlier , your fist step — you made it earlier than your aunt’s son.

-A sentence spoke with pride,yet unknowingly planting the seed of comparison.

Have you ever stopped and wondered , where is this going to end ?

It ended with you, rolling sleeplessly over your bed every night , thinking and overthinking ,whether you’re good enough for this place.

Turning the taps on and letting those tears roll down your cheeks and get in union with the overflown bucket of water.

If you want to Run , then Run — but run it for yourself this time. Never again for those neighborhood aunties who are far too concerned about our living.
