The Product Launch is not the Finish Line — It’s the Starting Point. It doesn’t.

Launching a product is simply the beginning.

The real challenge starts when real customers begin using it.

I’ve seen many products fail — not because they were built poorly, but because they lacked a clear go-to-market strategy and a continuous growth plan.

A Product Manager owns both.

📌 Phase 1: Market Introduction

A successful launch is much more than pressing the “Release” button.

It requires: ✅ Launch planning ✅ Cross-functional coordination ✅ Marketing alignment ✅ Customer onboarding ✅ Measuring early adoption

Example: bKash didn’t become Bangladesh’s largest mobile financial service overnight. It expanded strategically, including rural markets where digital financial inclusion created tremendous value.

📈 Phase 2: Product Growth

Once users arrive, the Product Manager asks:

  • What are customers struggling with?
  • Which features create the most value?
  • Where are users dropping off?
  • What should we improve next?

Growth is driven by data — not assumptions.

Example: Pathao expanded beyond ride-sharing into parcel delivery after identifying evolving customer needs.

Foodpanda accelerated customer acquisition through targeted campaigns, promotions, and continuous service improvements.

💡 The lesson?

A product launch creates visibility.

Continuous improvement creates long-term success.

The best Product Managers don’t celebrate the launch — they stay obsessed with customer problems and keep improving the product every day.

Build. Launch. Learn. Improve. Repeat.
