The Unruly Night

About This Poem: This poem reflects a mind gripped by fear of darkness, where imagination turns shadows into threats. In seeking comfort, the speaker hears a divine truth: a life free of sin and malice has nothing to fear and if one has faltered, redemption always remains within reach.

In the dark, I feel terrified, afraid to sleep, What if an evil visits, gives me a peep, I can’t sleep alone, at night in my home, I feel the fret, right up to my bones.

I fear nightmares, a knock on the door, I fear of demons, crawling on the floor, Aghast, this is when I prayed to the light, It bestowed wisdom, it preached me right.

It said if you are noble, there’s no fear, God is with you to protect and hear, If you have ever sinned, seek salvation, Pray to almighty, have faith & devotion.

There is a reason, demons & evils exist, Forming examples of negatives to resist, Staying pure, noble & positive is the way, This is what angels & Gods have to say.

Have faith in God, believe what is right, Life would then be beautiful & bright, Negativity & evil would not pay you visit, If you are clean, pious and truly fit.
