When you feel like rushing or being late in life and how to overcome those negatives.

June 9, 2019. In the Radio City Music Hall, Andre De Shields dropped three MAGNIFICENT quotes on the stage that night. He’d be like “ hold my coffee” and then he goes…

1. “Surround yourself with people whose eyes light up when they see you coming.”

2. “Slowly is the fastest way to get to where you want to be”.

3. “The top of the mountain is the bottom of the next, so keep climbing.”

But here, we’ll do mostly about №.2, the slow one.

ARE WE ALWAYS IN A RUSH? HAI! WE ARE!

Humans are the only species who are in a rush, you know. But…for what? To die early? You barely see a tomato running after a bus and probably we’ve never seen a crocodile in a bar drinking till he blacks out because he feels like failing or late. I mean a feeling of failing is real and it could be dangerous too, if you don’t have that in control back in time. But I mean, why? Why in a rush? Why feel late?

Nothing good can happen out of rushing. Let me repeat “Nothing good”. I didn’t say nothing can happen. Something can happen, for sure. I just said “Nothing Good” can happen. It’s just that you feel late or it is actually late, whatever you feel like failing or it is actually failing, what you do…how you can handle it is that, in your mind,

First of all- Know/Aware that it’s there…whatever that is, your illusion or reality.

Second of all- Put it just right there in your mind somewhere, that’s a very fragile state, we gotta be super careful here, treat it as a landmine or an egg or a banana or whatever (but please just know that it’s there and don’t even go near it)

More explanations ( ’cause I want to, please!)

I suggest you to put it all the way in the back of your mind, or at least somewhere so that your other thoughts can’t be tripped over by. Let me tell you more with a few illustrations so that it sticks with you forever.

🟥 here for this article, a feeling of rushing or being behind. But basically for all negative thoughts.

🟥 here for this article, a feeling of rushing or being behind. But basically for all negative thoughts.

One negative thought starts taking place in your brainy, but that’s not the only thought in your head. You have a lot of other thoughts too.

Here, the fun fact is that the more attention it gets the more it grows. It means if one thought becomes the center of your attention, the others get less( you can’t really focus two things at once, multitasking is a lie). If that’s the negative one, it’s bad, it’s really really bad. The more it takes place, the less the others get space.

And it gets worst because it didn’t just stop with that. The more you let it grow, the more you stay unconscious…with the negative, the problem wouldn’t just stop internally. We gonna start to face external repercussions as well. As it gets more puffed, the more it gets its constant fueling( staying depressed, start drinking, distraction over focus), it doesn’t only damage(shrinks) the existing thoughts, it also blocks up the whole runway for all new incoming thoughts as well.

We all know how to fix the problem. (yet we don’t, we lowkey enjoy the delay). If it gets bigger, we make it smaller. Simple. If we can make the red thing( negative thinking) smaller, the blue things (existing thoughts) get their home back so that all standby green things(incoming thoughts) can freely takes space and eventually you are back on track. (please limit your visit to say Hi to our dear negative thoughts).

The same concept can be used for all positive, good thoughts too. Just swap RED and BLUE, then you will get the answer. The more the positives take place, the less the negative gets its space. The more the positives grows, the more the negatives shrink. But unlike the RED, the BLUE will welcome, absorb and turn every GREEN and RED into BLUE and only BLUE has the ability to do that. Well, pretty much, diagrams has all the answers.

P.S Actually I was about to do deep dive on the book “ THE ONE THING”. I don’t know how did I end up writing this.

Part 2 coming…studying of “ THE ONE THING”. That’s okay, “life is beautiful and we still have time”. We gonna go slow…you know..step by step…ONE THING at a time.
