Goodbye 40% Duty? Pakistan’s New Auto Policy is a Game Changer

Finally, some good news for Pakistani car lovers. The government just signed a deal with the IMF, and guess what? They are finally slashing those ridiculous duties on imported cars. For years, we paid almost double the price for a Civic or Corolla because of the 40% regulatory duty. Now, that duty is going to be history by 2030. The average tax is dropping from 10.6% to 7.4%. It doesn’t sound like much, but trust me, on a car worth $20,000, that’s a huge saving. I think this is the only good thing coming out of the IMF program.
