you know what, bintang? i’m planning on catching lany’s show this year. wish me luck on the ticket war. i still remember vividly how “XXL” was your anthem, and let’s not forget “love at first fight” from a beautiful blur. you were the one who put me onto them, and honestly? i’ve been hooked ever since.

​it’s kind of funny, bintang. listening to them feels like a ghost of us is haunting my room. but don’t get a big head—i’m going purely for the music. stop that smirking; i know how much you love getting a rise out of me.

​thanks for letting me into your world, even if it was just a fleeting visit. at least now i have a boy band to obsess over. you know i’m a die-hard swiftie, right? well, taylor’s just gonna have to share the limelight with lany on my spotify playlist now.

​if i’m being honest, i’m still a little sore. we said we’re friends, so why’d you turn me down for lunch? don’t be so stingy with your time; i’m prone to missing people. but then again, who cares? you chose to drift out of my orbit anyway.

​there are still so many albums we never got to talk about. sometimes i’m at a loss for what to play because they’re all so damn good, but you’re already nowhere to be found. it’s okay, though. because through lany, i’ve learned a thing or two—mostly about the art of letting go.

​i don’t regret our brief encounter for a single second. i’ll carry it with me until my last breath. i’ve tucked every detail away neatly in a place labeled ‘happy’. nothing is forgotten, just like how lany is the soundtrack to my 9-to-5 every single week.
