When AI went wrong: My Medium Account was Suspended (and then Restored)

It came as a shock that a red banner suddenly appeared on my Medium dashboard.

I tried to access from another browser. Oh my goodness, my readers could not have access to my stories.

Feeling perplexed, I clicked the link on the banner and found a list of rules, but I did not think I broke any of them. It states that “We use human review for all account appeals submitted via our available forms”. I immediately appealed. It was 7:04 pm. I have been nervously waiting for a response. In the next morning 10:34 am, I received an email from Medium Support that my account was mistakely caught in the spam filter, and have now been restored.

Relieved! I can post again! AI makes mistakes. We still need human in the loop.
