💡 DTP vs VTP — The VLAN Dream Team!

Ever wondered how switches decide when to form a trunk and how VLANs spread across them automatically? 🤔

🔹 DTP (Dynamic Trunking Protocol) → The negotiator. It decides whether a port becomes Trunk or Access automatically. ⚠️ Risk: Can form trunks unintentionally → Use switchport nonegotiate in production!

🔹 VTP (VLAN Trunking Protocol) → The VLAN distributor. It shares VLAN info across switches in a VTP domain. ⚠️ One wrong switch with a higher revision number can wipe VLANs — use Transparent mode for safety.
