Jeff+Goda : Multimedia Artists

I’m keenly interested in projects of art installation and multimedia, especially when 2-D is involved. Naturally, that fits with the works of JEFF+GODA, which consists of multimedia artists Jeff Sumerel and Goda Rupeikaite.

Rupeikaite, with her roots in Lithuania, makes drawings that interest me because they are inspired by childhood, family, and history that differs completely from anything that springs from the southeast USA. That’s an understatement, I know.

Sumerel’s works can be charged with emotive qualities, being thoughtfully reflective or causing the viewer to look inward and understand personal experiences, or become contemplative about any given subject. There’s the satirical element, too.

Jeff+Goda, is their collaborative work on public art installations and site-specific design.

Wilkinson ART will begin to highlight these works and offer in-house interplay and exchange when opportunities arise. Stay tuned.
