Stepping Forward: Highlights from HIMEDITION’s Induction Rehearsal

The handover ceremony (sertijab) is not just a formal event but a important moment in the regeneration of the HIMEDITION. To make sure a smooth event, The rehearsal before the inauguration is very important for the preparation.

On February 22, 2025, the HIMEDITION Induction rehearsal took place in Room B105, Faculty of Humanities, Jenderal Soedirman University (UNSOED). This event was attended by the previous leaders and the new board members from each division. Their presence showed that they were not only ready but also committed to continuing the leadership successfully.

During the rehearsal, some technical aspects were carefully arranged, from seating arrangements to the flow of the sertijab procession. One of the key moments was the official handover ritual, where the incoming members were called forward one by one. Also, the new members took an oath to show their commitment to their new roles, followed by the symbolic handover of the HIMEDITION flag from the outgoing president to the new one.

Overall, the rehearsal went smoothly. Although there were little bit challenges, such as a delay in the event’s start cause waiting for some members to arrive, these issues did not reduce the importance or seriousness of preparing for the sertijab.

With this rehearsal, it is hoped that the sertijab ceremony will be more structured and meaningful. Leadership transition is not just about formality but also about readiness and dedication to continuing HIMEDITION’s journey forward.
