The free AI stack hiding inside your business bank

A client called me in April excited about a $200 a month AI budget she had carved out. App builder, database, meeting notes tool. She wanted my sign-off as her CFO.

I pulled up her bank dashboard on the call and showed her she could get almost all of it free. She had qualified for months. The deals were sitting one tab away from her checking account.

Her bank is Mercury, and the deals live in its perks program. Most founders open the account, set up payments, and never click that tab. Here is what is in there for AI tools right now, and why this stack matters in 2026.

Vibe coding went mainstream. Non-developers building real apps with AI tools grew over 500% in the past year, and GitHub says nearly half of all new code is now AI-generated. Lovable, the breakout app builder in this space, went from launch to $300 million in annualized revenue in about a year.

The stack, piece by piece

Lovable: 3 months free (the app builder)

Lovable is where you describe the app you want in plain English and watch it build a working product. I have used it to spin up internal tools for my businesses, things like a client intake form wired to a database, in an evening.

The Mercury perk gets you 3 months of Lovable Pro free. Pro normally runs $25 a month, and the free tier’s daily limits make real projects painful, so this is the difference between toying with it and shipping something.

Supabase: $300 in credits (the database)

Everything Lovable builds needs somewhere to store data. Supabase is the default answer, an open source database platform that Lovable connects to natively. The perk is $300 in credits, which covers the Pro plan for about a year at typical small project usage.

Granola: 12 months free (the meeting brain)

Granola is an AI notepad that listens to your meetings and turns your half-typed fragments into clean structured notes. No bot joins the call, which clients appreciate. A full year free through the perks portal, normally $18 a month. For anyone in back-to-back client calls, this one pays for itself in recovered action items alone.

ElevenLabs: 1 year free (the voice layer)

ElevenLabs makes the most realistic AI voices available. Small businesses use it for IVR phone trees, video voiceovers, and audio versions of written content. A year free on the perks plan tier. Niche for some businesses, a genuine production tool for anyone doing content.

What this replaces

Price it out at retail for a year: Lovable Pro at $25 a month, Supabase Pro at $25 a month, Granola at $18, ElevenLabs creator tier around $22. Call it roughly $1,080 a year.

Through the perks program: $0 for the periods covered, then standard rates only on what you keep.

The catch, because there is always one: these are time-boxed offers, and the perks rotate. The exact terms above are what I see as of this writing. Check the portal for current numbers before you plan around them.

A real build, start to finish

Here is what I did with this exact stack last quarter. One of my companies needed a simple tool for tracking software subscriptions across entities, renewal dates, owners, and monthly cost.

I described the tool to Lovable in about ten sentences. It generated the app. I connected Supabase for storage, which took two clicks because the integration is native. Total build time was under three hours across two evenings, and most of that was me changing my mind about columns.

A year ago I would have either paid a developer $2,000 or lived without it. That is the actual shift vibe coding brought, and it is why I keep telling clients: the constraint is no longer budget, it is knowing what you want.

FAQ

Do I need to be a developer to use this stack? No. Lovable is built for non-developers, and Supabase connects to it without code. You will learn some concepts (what a table is, what a login flow is) by building.

Is this actually free or is it a trial trap? The perks are time-boxed: 3 months of Lovable, 12 of Granola, a year of ElevenLabs, $300 of Supabase credits. After that you pay standard rates or cancel. No card-on-file tricks beyond the normal subscription mechanics.

What is the catch for Mercury? Mercury wants your deposits. The perks program is customer acquisition. You get free tools, they get a business banking customer. It is a fair trade I have been happy with for years.

Can I claim the perks if I already have accounts with these tools? Depends on the perk. Some apply to new accounts only. Check each offer’s terms in the portal.

The bottom line

Before you put another AI subscription on the card, check whether your bank will hand it to you free. If your bank does not have a perks program, that is worth fixing too. The tools are real, the credits are real, and the founders using them are shipping things the rest are still pricing out.
