Let’s Talk About Ugly People

No, I’m not talking about physical appearance, but about people with dark souls.

Today we live in a world where people on social media think it is acceptable to speak badly about others, to take vengeance against them, and more. We have become an evil species. Pixabay

There are a lot of ugly people in the world today. They are especially rife on social media, and on any platform where they can vent their spleen, insult others, and destroy (or cancel) those they do not agree with. They are so hideously ugly within themselves that they do not recognize their own evil.

In real life, they steal, tell lies, spread gossip, and do whatever they can to belittle others. They also say the things that will ensure acceptance by their group, with no sense of the wrongness of their group.

I have come into contact with many of these people online. In real life, every now and then, I find them in my sphere. They are twisted, filled with bitterness and hatred of anyone who has something that they want for themselves.

Characteristics of these people

1. On the political spectrum, they talk about democracy. At the same time, however, they try to take down the current president. That is not democracy. In a true democracy, the side that loses agrees to commit to what the winning side wanted. If that doesn’t happen, there is no democracy.
2. On social media platforms, they generally have aliases. On rare occasions, people like Candace Owens and Alex Jones spout off their lies under their real names. Sooner or later, the truth comes for them. They destroy good people, and they pander to people with ugly souls, because ugly souls rejoice in ugliness.
3. Ugly people gossip and spread tales about others. If someone should point out their weaknesses, that is reason for attack. These are not good people. They are full of bitterness and anger towards others. They have no capacity to accept that they might have been born with less capability, or without stunning beauty and amazing talent, or simply in the wrong country at the wrong time. They do not take any personal responsibility for their situation. They have no capacity for overcoming their own situation. It must always be the other guy’s fault, and so they do everything in their power to spread hatred of ‘the other,’ even when they are just as guilty of spreading hatred.
4. Ugly people fail continually. They fail because they are either inherently dishonest with themselves, or they aren’t particularly bright. To my mind, everybody can achieve something, but if you croak for a voice, it is rediculous to believe you will be a Pavarotti. Not everything is possible for everyone, and it doesn’t matter how much money or position you have. There are some things that cannot be achieved through status and money. Of course, the foolish and incompetent will always be taken in by those who pretend things. The number of people out there — presidents, billionaires, influencers, political pundits — who have voices because they became well-known, but who are still not competent, is now overwhelming. Our world is failing because of them. This does not mean that good people cannot fail. Failure is not a measurement of good or bad. However, there are a lot of people out there these days who fail because they do not have the skills and they will not admit it to themselves, and so they blame other people. They also confuse a college education with competence, ability, or talent. Not true. Many people are educated beyond their intelligence.
5. Ugly people are spiteful people. They think because they are nice to their friends that they are good people. No, that’s not true. Everybody is nice to their friends. The real strength of a good and beautiful soul is being good to those who do not agree with you, who have taken from you what is not theirs. It does not mean that one has to continue to asssociate with them (I block and disassociate whenever I come across mean spirited people). It does mean, however, that one does not destroy them or harm them. Good people do not harm others. They do not take vengeance.
6. Ugly people believe their friends and disbelieve anything that comes from those they consider not their allies or friends. This is an ugly thing to do because all people are right in some things and wrong in other things. It is absurd to think that some people are 100% right and others are 100% wrong because they are not in one’s own tribe. This ugliness springs out a place of desiring power and status, and a strong need to be surrounded by others. Ugly people find it difficult to stand for what is right on their own. They don’t dare go against others unless there is an entire crowd supporting them.
7. In the real world, ugly people steal, lie, cheat, and slander others. They are also frequently bullies, and they do their best to undermine others. Of course, they don’t do this to their friends. They only do it to those they consider ‘evil.’ Ironically, in doing those things, they do not realize their own evil. Vengeance, malice, spite, no matter who it is directed to, makes one evil and ugly.

Our world is full of ugly people. In the zeitgeist of our times, good character is hard to find. Should one point out the wrongdoing and ignorance of others, this is considered evil. The reality is that the less one points it out, the more those behaviors take hold, and that is why we live in the world we do today.

It has become socially unacceptable to hurt anyone’s feelings, regardless of the fact that they might be horrifically wrong or doing evil things. Dare to tell someone they can’t write or sing or have what it takes to become a leader, and one is instantly bedevilled by others, regardless of whether it is true or not. Teachers and professors are now more about ensuring the inflated ego of students than truly educating them. People have Ph.Ds in nonsense subjects.

Gone are the days when one stood against what was evil. Today one stands with a group that elevates one’s own prestige.

I am so done with it all. To me, stength of character (the ability to stand for what is right ON ONE’S OWN) is still the greatest attribute anyone can have. Ugliness abounds.

It is sad.
