How Eleven’s Ending in Stranger Things Had Me Feeling

The Netflix TV show, “Stranger Things,” has officially ended with the finale premiering on New Year’s Eve. There were a lot of things that happened, with each character having its own ending. The ending that I will forever stick with me is Eleven’s.

What’s interesting about Eleven’s ending is that it’s all based on interpretation. The Duffer Brothers gave Eleven’s ending to our hands, where it is based on our opinions if Eleven died or not.

I would say Eleven’s death was the saddest death I have ever seen. She sacrificed herself for everyone else, so that no one would be able to ever take innocent kids and use them for their own. She was a teenage girl who had to make this big decision.

Eleven didn’t have a normal childhood. Ever since she was born, she lived in a laboratory, where she would constantly be used for tests and experiments. Eleven’s childhood was taken away from her. She never had the ability to be a normal kid, who ran around the playground and played with friends. She didn’t even know the word “friend” until she met Mike and his friends. She deserved so much better.

The twist is that at the end of Episode 8, Mike made a theory that Eleven didn’t actually die. It was actually an illusion made by Kali, so that Eleven could escape and finally be free from all this chaos. Again, it is up to us to decide her fate.

What I truly admire about Eleven was her bravery. At such a young age, she had to make tough decisions throughout her life, which must have been so hard for her. I truly hope that Mike’s theory was true because it is what she deserves. I believe.
