A chair in the corner, dust gathering where no one sits.
Overlooked

A chair in the corner, dust gathering where no one sits.
The voice that rose, then fell beneath louder ones.
A hand half-raised, never called upon.
The flower by the roadside, trampled, but still giving fragrance to the air rushing past.
Even the sky at night, too vast for us to notice beyond the single star we point to.
So much waits quietly, wanting nothing, still present, still holding its place in the world that forgets to look.
