Submissions Wanted: Seeking Writers with LINKED Story Directories!

For several months now, I’ve been on the fence about which activities I want to continue pursuing here on the Medium website.

As of this writing, I can honestly say that I’ve finally made a wise decision, and it involves all of you.

Instead of worrying about which topics and categories I might want to write about going forward; instead:

I want to do a thorough job of curating my existing catalogue, now containing 1200+ published stories.

As you can probably tell, this new publication of mine is still a work-in-progress.

It’s a little scarce on stories now, but it won’t be for long.

***Story Curators ***give me with the perfect format for displaying the different directories I’ve created.

This newest project, is unlike my other publications, that were never really created to accept any other writers.

This new pub is already accepting submissions right now.

Story Curators is a useful resource publication

My primary plans for Medium in 2024 and beyond, consists of working on more effective ways to engage with fellow members.

Accepting story submissions is always a good start, especially for a writing related publication that will prove to be a good resource for Medium members.

👉 I believe ***Story Curators* can make things a lot* easier for writers, so they can organize and publicly display multiple story titles at a time, especially to niche readers*.

But I also…

👉 I believe ***Story Curators can make things a lot easier for readers* **to locate the stories they enjoy.

My future goals are the same as they’ve always been — to provide value to followers and those who continue to read my stories.

However, in the coming months, my plan is to devote particular attention to the activity of helping busy, prolific writers like me.

“Story Curators is a great reference resource publication. It provides stories containing curated titles, and guides readers to helpful and entertaining content.”

My notable tagline is: “Get help finding the content you seek.”

There are thousands of writers on Medium, who have managed to publish hundreds of stories.

Unfortunately, not all writers have taken the time to make effective lists or create useful directories.

Over time, it’s actually easy for active writers to forget about some of the great content they’ve created.

Does this ever happen to you?

When you fail to promote the various titles that you’ve published, eventually, your stories die a slow death.

***Story Curators ***publication can be an effective way to help keep your previously published stories alive.

How can Story Curators help writers?

Stop for a moment and consider how this publication can benefit you and your writing on Medium.

• Are you a niche writer, that likes to focus on one or two particular topics?
• Maybe you’ve already created some type of story directory and even have it pinned to your profile page.

Whether your Medium profile already has a story directory or not, there’s never been a better time, to create more story directories and promote them however you can.

You can never get enough exposure for the story titles you publish.

That’s why **Story Curators** can help.

• Some of us may have created one or more versions of a story directory page.
• Other writers have used the list feature to compile story titles.

Then, of course, there are those of us who have a combination of both.

🔆 Story Curators is seeking:

Writers who have lots of story titles listed in *one or multiple *directory-type stories.

[NOTE: There’s no rule about the titles you list, so you can feel free to share titles from other writers]

This publications’ goal is to provide a better way to locate specific information and content, based on whatever readers happen to be searching for at any given time.

“Story Curators” is a fitting name, One definition of the word “curated” puts it like this:

“…: to select (the best or most appropriate) especially for presentation, distribution, or publication.”

So give me your new or existing stories, containing curated lists of themed or related titles.

👉👉 Readers will get a chance to see some of the many themed titles and story series that Medium writers have written.

There’s also another benefit because…

👉👉 Writers who need inspiration or suggestions, can find examples on how to organize and create their own story directories.

About the submission process

Do you happen to have an existing story that you self published, and you use it as a story directory page?

Why not try and get a little more exposure, if at all possible?

The submission process is easy peasy, but it’s mandatory that the guidelines are followed.

Keep in mind, all submissions should contain a list of NO LESS that 5 titles that readers will find either helpful or enjoyable, in one way or another.

Final Thoughts

It’s no secret, when it comes to just how disgruntled many writers on Medium feel about their stats and earnings.

While there’s not a lot we can do about how the Medium staff chooses to do things, and calculate our earnings, there’s always something we can do to help ourselves just a little bit more.

By submitting your story titles to Story Curators, you’ll be doing just a little bit more to help yourself in 2024.
